A product page has one job: answer the shopper's questions quickly enough that they feel confident to buy. Use this checklist to review each page before you publish it.
Which images should you include?
- A clear main image on a clean background.
- Photos from several angles, plus the product in use.
- Close-ups of materials or details.
- Descriptive alt text on every image.
How should you write the description?
Lead with what the product does for the buyer in one or two sentences. Follow with a short list of facts such as size, materials and care. Avoid long blocks of text, because shoppers scan.
What information should be easy to find?
- The price and any options, shown before the add to cart button.
- Shipping costs and delivery times.
- Your returns policy.
- Stock status, so shoppers know what to expect.
How do you build trust?
Show genuine reviews if you have them, and make your contact details easy to find. Trust sections such as the ones in Conversion Kit can place guarantees and payment information next to the buy button.
Should you test the page on mobile?
Yes. Most stores see a large share of visits on phones, so check that images load quickly, options are easy to tap and the add to cart button stays visible. Read more in our pre-launch checklist.
